Blueprint Phase 1: Foundation & Fat Stripping

How I’d run a first cut block: controlled deficit, high protein, Upper/Lower strength retention, Zone 2 + limited HIIT — and why culture talks about cutting before testosterone escalation.

Goal of this phase

Strip body fat while keeping training quality and lean tissue. A stable, leaner baseline is the foundation for any later surplus — natural or otherwise.

Why “cut first” shows up in enhanced culture

Gym culture often argues that starting a muscle-building pharmacology phase at a high body-fat percentage increases aromatisation (conversion of testosterone toward oestrogenic pathways), with unwanted water retention and gynaecomastia risk discussed endlessly on forums.

Education take: that reasoning is why people sequence fat loss before escalation talk. It is not permission to self-prescribe. Medical decisions stay with a clinician. We don’t source gear.

Training & nutrition (actionable)

Nutrition — controlled deficit

Lever Practical target
Calories About a 20% deficit below estimated TDEE (track weight trend 2–3 weeks; adjust)
Protein 2.2–2.5 g per kg body weight — satiety + muscle retention in a deficit
Carbs Bias most carbs around pre- and post-training for anaerobic sessions
Fats Roughly 0.6–0.8 g per kg for basic cellular / fat-soluble vitamin needs

This is food maths, not medical dosing. If health conditions apply, ask a clinician or accredited dietitian.

Training — keep the strength

  • Weights: 4 days/week Upper / Lower. Keep strength metrics; don’t switch to “light forever” just because you’re dieting.
  • Zone 2 LISS: ~30 minutes easy walking most mornings — sustainable NEAT, not punishment cardio.
  • HIIT (once weekly): e.g. bike or hill — about 6–8 rounds of ~10-second hard efforts with ~80 seconds full rest. One Goldilocks stimulus, not daily redline.

Empty-stomach morning walks are a preference some people use, not a magic fat-burn law. Consistency beats dogma.

Chemical talk in culture (literacy only)

In enhanced forums, Phase-1 “baseline” chatter often names long esters (e.g. enanthate / cypionate) and common ranges people discuss around ~100–150 mg/week, sometimes split across the week to chase stabler levels, framed as “high-normal replacement while dieting.”

Harm reduction Bloodwork and clinical care beat Discord protocols

If someone is already using despite legal and health risk, literacy still points to honesty with a clinician, symptom watch, and PED harm reduction — including non-affiliated peers like RoidSafe for pathology-referral pathways.

Exit criteria before Phase 2

  • Body-fat visibly down and weight trend stable enough to stop crashing calories
  • Strength mostly preserved
  • Ready to raise calories to maintenance and verify health markers — not jump straight into “blast” folklore
